Located in the central of Barossa Valley with 100% Shiraz planted, Furche Barossa Valley Vineyard are an excellent sample to show our passion from vines to wine. Sitting on a slow slope with natural tiny springs through rows during spring, this vineyard is based on sandy brown loams with black cracking clays. Well selected cane pruned vines give the excellent balance between quality and quantity, plus generating enough shadow for grapes during summer. Also, the evening gully breezes go through the site, moderate the temperature, providing relief for vines on hot days. Straw mulching are in place to protect the moisture under vines, enhancing a better nutrition cycle of roots. A concentrated deep red colour with hints of purple at the edge of the glass. The aromas are reminiscent of fresh red berry fruits with lifted violet and perfume like characters. These are balanced with the toasty, vanilla and biscuit character of new French and American barrels. The flavour is a balance between the new and older barrels used. The wine has a rich and round fruit characters with a soft velvet like feel. The silky-smooth tannins linger in the mouth before gently fading.
