The grapes for this wine were sourced from the Furche vineyard on the western side of the Barossa Valley, grown on deep rich alluvial soil ideal for growing the most premium grapes. A concentrated deep red colour with hints of purple at the edge of the glass. The aromas are reminiscent of fresh red berry fruits with lifted violet and perfume like characters. These are balanced with the toasty, vanilla and biscuit character of new French and American barrels. The flavour is a balance between the new and older barrels used. The wine has a rich and round fruit characters with a soft velvet like feel. The silky smooth tannins linger in the mouth before gently fading.
